Aurelia is pleased to announce that we have entered into a new three-year mining services contract with Redpath Australia at our Federation Mine.

The contract commenced on 1 October 2024 and covers ongoing mine development and production activities including underground paste reticulation and run-of-mine management.

Contract finalisation comes shortly after Federation was officially opened by the Hon. Minister Courtney Houssos on 11 September, and the firing of the first stope in the Mine, announced 17 September 2024.

Redpath Managing Director, Gavin Ramage spoke about the contract and thanked the team at Federation for their work to execute the contract following Redpath’s remobilisation to site in August 2023.

“The Redpath team at Federation has demonstrated resolve and dedication throughout to build the Mine from a greenfield site to a high-grade zinc, lead and gold underground operation.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in securing the mining services contract and their effort and persistence in the process. I also want to acknowledge the entire Redpath team at Federation for the crucial role they have played since remobilisation to site in August last year,” Gavin said.

Also speaking about this contract, Aurelia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Bryan Quinn spoke to the Company’s enthusiasm to continue to partner with Redpath during the construction and ramp up phases at Federation.

“Redpath are a very valued contracting partner and we look forward to continuing to work with them to bring Federation into commercial production towards the end of FY25.

“I want to take this time to also thank those in the Aurelia team who have worked on the execution of this contract and look forward to many more safe and productive years together with Redpath at Federation,” Bryan concluded.
