Project engagement with First Nations and other stakeholders

Aurelia enjoys an enviable organic growth pipeline – with Federation shaping up to be one of the most exciting polymetallic discoveries in recent Australian history and Great Cobar emerging as a significant near mine, undeveloped copper resource.

In FY21, significant community and First Nations consultation occurred for both projects. This engagement included numerous community sessions, ongoing consultation with the project specific Community Consultative Committee (CCC) and various field assessments and site visits.

This resulted in the development of a Social Impact Assessment, including commitments from Aurelia to mitigate potentially adverse impacts to stakeholder groups. Aurelia appreciates the input and collaboration the local community and First Nations groups have provided towards the proposed developments.
