Federation Project civil works progress

The Federation Project reached several milestones during the June quarter of FY22.

Site activity concentrated on surface construction works.  At the end of June, civil works for the site’s roads, laydown pads and dams reached 70% completion while excavation of the box cut for the exploration decline was 90% complete.

Preparations for exploration decline development were underway with mining contractor Redpath Australia mobilising their surface facilities and mobile equipment to the Federation site. Decline development will commence after wall support is installed in the box cut and the remaining material is excavated.

Located 10 kilometres (km) south of the Company’s Hera Mine in central-western New South Wales, the Federation Project centres on the development, mining and processing of high-grade polymetallic zinc, lead, gold, silver, and copper mineralisation that was disc

overed in April 2019. Federation is set to provide operational continuity at Hera and sustain up to 250 regional jobs.

Progress toward the development of its Federation Project demonstrates Aurelia’s commitment to rapidly develop one of Australia’s highest grade metalliferous deposits, and its confidence the Project will deliver outstanding returns for shareholders.
