Federation Exploration Update
On 17 April, we shared significant results from the exploration program at the Federation West Offset discovery in the Federation deposit.
Discovered in 2024, (see ASX Announcement dated 5 April 2024 ‘Federation Exploration Update’) follow-up investigations of the Offset – including an ongoing exploration drill program – have yielded substantial results.
Particularly exciting is 12.5m (9.7, ETW) at 20.3% zinc, 8.8% lead, 1.0% copper, 0.5g/t gold and 33g/t silver in FDD219W1 from 439.5m. Results include 6m at 33.9% zinc, 14.5% lead, 1.9% copper, 1.0g/t gold and 49g/t silver.
Chief Development and Technical Officer, Andrew Graham spoke about these results.
“Federation continues to deliver spectacular drill results. These drill intersections from our current exploration program at Federation West, following the discovery of this offset mineralisation in 2024, highlight the potential to grow the Federation deposit with high-grade material,” Andrew said.
“At only about 140m from the planned mining at Federation, the developing inventory at Federation West should be readily mineable.
“We still have much to learn about the geology of Federation and Federation West. Based on these successes, however, we have extended the Federation West exploration drill program beyond our budget plan, with drilling to continue for the remainder of FY25,” Andrew concluded.
The details of these results are available in the full ASX Announcement: Federation Exploration Update.
