Aurelia Announces Exciting Expansion in the Cobar Basin

On 2 June 2026, Aurelia announced it had strengthened its exploration position in the highly prospective Cobar Basin, securing access to new ground through an earn-in agreement with Legacy Minerals and the grant of two additional exploration licences in the Nymagee District.

The agreement with Legacy Minerals provides Aurelia with a pathway to earn a majority interest in Exploration Licences EL9511 and EL9858, which extend along the western boundary of Aurelia’s existing tenement package near the Peak Operation. The tenements cover a significant structural corridor considered highly prospective for Cobar-style mineralisation.

The earn-in agreement allows Aurelia to earn a 51% interest by spending $0.5 million on exploration over the first two years, with the opportunity to increase its interest to 90% through further exploration expenditure over five years.

The agreement complements the recent grant of Exploration Licences EL9898 (Glenwood) and EL9899 (Barton), further enhancing Aurelia’s exploration presence across the Cobar Basin.

Aurelia’s Chief Development and Technical Officer, Andrew Graham spoke of how these additions strengthen Aurelia’s strategic landholding and support the Company’s long-term exploration strategy.

“The exploration earn-in agreement with Legacy Minerals expands our strategic footprint in the highly prospective Cobar Basin. Coupled with our newly granted licences, these new tenements enhance our position along key structural corridors and strengthen our target pipeline for Cobar-style mineralisation.”

“This initiative aligns with our strategy of building a deep and exciting pipeline of exploration opportunities to fuel our growth pipeline, as we did with the successful discovery and delivery of Federation,” Andrew said.
